20-Year Military Veteran & Founder of Annie’s Tidbits

“Ok! Jump up and go to the bathroom.” I thought when I awaken from surgery.  But, my body said, “Oh No!”  As I lie paralyzed with pain.  Such pain I never knew existed.  Worst than child birth.  Yes, with normal child birth, the pain was temporary with some soreness to follow.  Was this a bad decision?  After all, I’m Annie Hairston, 5’3”, if standing very tall, and a 20-year military veteran.  I knew no such pain or illness the entire tour of duty.

The doctors didn’t prepare me for this life after surgery.  Nor, for the complications that followed.  The extreme constipation due to heavy pain meds, the irritable bowels due to the infection in the incision, and the embarrassing incidents to follow.  I could see the cycle of doctor visits and medicines.  Thankfully, I followed my inner voice and guidance to make good food choices, most times, and kept this body moving as early as a teenager.  So, here I am.  My prayer:  “Lord, help me.  This is NOT me!”

As I lie watching TBN, I discovered a natural health program with doctors discussing solutions for my symptoms.  “THIS IS IT!” I shouted.  And began implementing their suggestions.   I watched and recorded this weekly program over and over until the next program.  Of course, I felt each was too good to delete, until forced to free up space for more.  This led to my quest to help others.  I became more sensitive of other‘s physical complaints and pains.  And I would immediately remember a possible natural remedy I’d heard on TV or read in a collection of my wellness books.  I couldn’t keep these tidbits to myself.  So, I began to share a little here and there with my family and friends.  When asked to share with a Women’s Prayer Group each month, I hesitated.  Thinking, I don’t know much, at all!  Then, I heard from my inner voice and guidance, “To whom much is given, much is required.”  My response, “But I don’t know much about wellness! What would I say?  What if they ask questions?”  He said, “Did I put an amount on much?  That you know is much more than one who doesn’t know that much!”  My response:  “I GOT IT!”   Thus, I began sharing TIDBITS.
