A Kryptonite for the Silent Killer

Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter if you are male or female, rich or poor, young or old, Caucasian, African American, Hispanic, etc.  The silent killer can affect any of us and research shows that every year the numbers increase.  This silent killer, or diabetes, affects more than 100 million Americans today and most don’t even know it.1

What is diabetes and what does it do to our bodies?  How do we know if we have prediabetes and is there anything we can do to holistically combat it?

There are 3 common forms of diabetes: type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and gestational diabetes.

Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease where the body does not make insulin.  For some unknown reason, the immune system destroys the insulin producing cells in the pancreas.  We need insulin in our cells for energy so type 1 diabetics must take insulin daily.

Type 2 diabetes can develop in a person any time in their life and is the most common version of the disease.  Here, the body is not making insulin or using it well.  Blood glucose levels are very high, and the glucose is unable to pass from the blood to the cells.  This disease is more manageable through diet and exercise.

Gestational diabetes occurs in pregnancy.  The high sugar can affect the baby as well as the mom.  Unfortunately, if a mom does develop gestational diabetes, type 2 diabetes is much more common to acquire in the future.

Medicines are available and widely used, but diabetes is still widespread and growing even with awareness and medicine.2 We need to find an alternative, healthy choice.  Purple fruits are full of antioxidants, but particularly high in a category called anthocyanins.  Health researchers are beginning to study purple fruits more diligently because the compounds they offer are incredible.  What fruit is at the top of the list?  Aronia, a small, dark purple berry gaining wide attention.3

Aronia berries top the charts for antioxidants which, amazingly, may lower blood sugar and “improve the body’s own natural production of insulin.”3

If that isn’t enough, tests have been preformed on diabetic-induced rats.  What they found was that aronia fruit juice “significantly decreased the diabetic abnormalities in blood glucose.”4

PURONIA, an aronia juice, may be the kryptonite that could weaken the diabetic growth and begin to save lives.  PURONIA is available today.  Why not try it, especially if you are dealing with a type of diabetes?  We’ve seen only good from this berry; this may be what you’ve been needing.
